Kyrgyzstan has signed an agreement to acquire two Airbus A321neo aircraft to support the development of the country’s civil aviation sector. The agreement was concluded between Manas International Airport and BBAM Aircraft Leasing & Management.
The signing ceremony took place on March 5 at the Presidential Administration of Kyrgyzstan. The document was signed by Manasbek Samidinov, Chairman of the Board of Airports of Kyrgyzstan, and Steve Zissis, CEO of BBAM Aircraft Leasing & Management.
At the same time, significant progress has been made in aviation safety. Following audits conducted by the International Civil Aviation Organization (ICAO) in 2023–2024, Kyrgyzstan’s aviation system confirmed its compliance with international safety standards.
Johan Pelissier, President of Airbus Europe, noted that a direct dialogue has been established between Airbus and Kyrgyzstan’s aviation sector to implement major joint projects. He also expressed the company’s readiness to continue cooperation in developing the country’s aviation industry.
The delivery of the Airbus A321ceo aircraft to Airports of Kyrgyzstan is planned for the end of 2026. The new aircraft will support the national airline Asman Airlines, helping expand flight routes, improve passenger comfort, and strengthen the safety of air transportation.
