MTB program “From Issyk-Kul to Song-Kol” 9 days

Day 1

Transfer from Airport to Bishkek

Bishkek. Arrival at Manas International airport. Transfer to Bishkek, 40 minutes. Hotel accommodation. We will drive for lunch at café. After lunch we will prepare bikes and after short drive we will have test cycling at mountains near Bishkek. (25 km). Return back to Bishkek.  Dinner at café and overnight at hotel.

Day 2

Bishkek – Bokonbaevo Village

After breakfast transfer to Bokonbaevo village at the southern shore of Issyk Kul lake. On the way we will go through Boom gorge. In Bokonbaevo we will have lunch in guest house and have some rest. Also today we will see eagle hunting demonstration. Dinner and overnight in the local guest house.

Day 3

Bokonbaevo – foothill of Tosor pass (3 893 meters ASL)

After breakfast we will cycle to Tosor pass direction and get more and more in Tosor gorge. Road will go slowly up. Dinner and overnight in tent

Day 4

Tosor pass (3 893 meters ASL) – Jyluu-Suu Hot spring

After breakfast we will cycle 13 km up to Tosor pass (3893 m asl). It is more steep to the pass where we will see glasier. And after that we will cycle down and see another spectacular views. At Jyluu-Suu we will enjoy hot spring, have dinner and stay in tent.

Day 5

Jyluu-Suu Hot spring — Karasaz Valley

Today we will cycle first downhill. And after that we will have cycling on flat terrain to Karasaz Valley where we will have dinner and stay in tent. The plases we will see today is a summer holiday place for yaks, cows and sheep. Dinner and overnight in tent.

Day 6

Karasaz Valley  – Solton–Sary Valley

Another day when we will cycle and see pastures with herds. Terrain is slow uphill and long pleasant downhill cycling. Dinner and overnight in tent.

Day 7

Solton-Sary – Song Kol Lake

Today we will cycle several uphills. Most steep one is 32 Parrots pass from which we will cycle to Song Kul lake where we will stay in yurt. For those who need a rest, a support vehicle will follow the group. Dinner and overnight in yurt camp.

Day 8

Song Kol Lake — Kyzart Village 

We will cycle up to Tuz Ashuu pass (3300m asl). It is one of the best panoramic places to see the lake and peaks around. From pass we will cycle down to Kyzart village where we will have dinner and stay in homestay.

Day 9

Kyzart Village – Bishkek

After breakfast cycle from the village to Bishkek. cycling will be till the lunch. End of MBT from HERE.  After luch drive to Bishkek

Day 10

Night/early morning transfer to airport. Departure
